It is surely one of the most beautiful urban parks in Great Britain, and is a major attraction to visitors from all over the world. In 2001, the park’s cricket ground was voted 'The Loveliest Cricket Ground in England'.
The smaller Upper Park also has bowling and tennis courts for you to enjoy over your stay. With many of the trees in the park being planted in the 19th century, this really is an oasis of tranquillity, but also the perfect adventure playground for youngsters of all ages.
